Welcome Raeann Ancho!
Impact’s new Client & Administrative Coordinator, Raeann (she/her), joined Impact in August. Get to know her below.
What types of causes are the most meaningful to you?
As a Black woman, I’m passionate about Black women! Women’s health organizations are especially important to me, because the whole Western medical system was developed to serve white men — not for people like me. For too long, our voices haven’t been present in health care spaces, and it’s exciting to see organizations working to change that.
What most excites you about joining Impact Communications?
Working to advance causes that I care about! Being able to help so many different types of organizations and communities is really gratifying.
Apart from work, what should people ask you about?
Art! By art, I mean any of the things that give beauty to the world. Food is art. Nerd-doms are art. I love literature. Ask me to give you a lecture on the politics in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I have a lot to say about that.
Raeann graduated from St. John’s College in 2020, and originally hails from Trinidad and Tobago. She lives in Annapolis, MD with her husband Florian and her adorable puppy, Hari.
