Impact Gives Back on #GivingTuesdayNow

Giving Tuesday Now-May

By Impact Team

May 5, 2020

#GivingTuesdayNow is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic – to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and to heal ourselves and our communities.

On this special global day of giving, Impact is proud to do our part. We have so many wonderful clients (we love you all!), but today we are donating to four clients whose efforts are making a vital difference to vulnerable people right now.

We encourage you to consider making a donation to these organizations or others today for #GivingTuesdayNow:

Capital Area Food Bank (capitalareafoodbank.org) is providing food to neighbors in Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland. Your donations support after school meals, meals for seniors and new pop-up pantries.

The Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org). Through their 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), people living with dementia, and their caregivers and family members, can talk to an expert for free 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. During this pandemic, the 24/7 Helpline has never mattered more.

Food & Friends (foodandfriends.org) is providing vital services during this pandemic, reaching our most vulnerable neighbors who are sick at home. In March, they accepted 60% more new clients than in March of 2019.

Madre (madre.org)  Madre is acting rapidly to save lives by providing emergency grants to the most at-risk communities, including food sources for hard-hit places like Syrian refugee camps and rural villages in Sudan.

Thank you to these outstanding organizations for all they do for our communities and the world. If you haven’t made your #GivingTuesdayNow gift, please do so before midnight tonight. Together we can heal.
