The evidence is mounting and undeniable – unless we act quickly and aggressively to curb greenhouse gas emissions, climate change will permanently alter our planet. At Impact, we are honored to be working with several organizations on the front lines of the climate change movement.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is advancing sustainability as a core organizing principle in their work to create a safe, nutritious, and equitable food system. They are calling for stronger regulations and incentives for sustainable agricultural practices and healthier food choices, working with food manufacturers to reduce food packaging and waste, and mobilizing schools, communities, and the public at large to make more plant-forward food choices. Learn more about CSPI’s work here.
We’re proud to partner with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as they sound the alarm about how climate change is destroying nature and threatening all life on Earth. Through collaborations with people, communities, and corporations around the world, WWF is working to reduce carbon pollution and prepare for the consequences of global warming. Learn more about WWF’s climate work here.
We also have the honor to work with The National Wildlife Federation (NWF), America’s oldest conservation organization. With their partners, NWF is working with coastal communities worldwide to prepare for the challenges from sea level rise, ocean warming, and acidification. The Federation also advocates for wildlife-friendly clean energy policies and projects, and works to reduce deforestation both nationally and internationally. To learn more about how NWF’s climate-smart conservation efforts, visit their website.
Our work with the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) keeps us fired-up! LCV believes that threats to our environment and our democracy are intertwined. Each year, LCV tracks the voting records of all members of Congress on environmental issues through their National Environmental Scorecard. They help communities organize inclusive, local grassroot efforts to advocate for climate action and a stronger democracy. Visit LCV’s website to learn more about how you can help influence public policy on behalf of the Earth.
We’re also proud to partner with Carnegie Science whose incredible consortium of scientists are creating solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. Investigators in Carnegie’s Biosphere Sciences & Engineering division are tackling urgent challenges including food and energy security, human health, and climate change. Learn more here.
An Impact client, MADRE is working with poor, rural and Indigenous women and girls on the front lines of the climate crisis. Low-resourced and Indigenous communities are hardest hit by climate devastation – but they are also uniquely positioned to lead the charge for change. Learn more about MADRE’s disaster relief and climate justice work here.
Thank you to all of these organizations for their leadership in the climate movement. We are honored to help craft the strategies and stories that power their visions. We hope you will be inspired to learn more about these outstanding organizations and support their efforts.
